MAGYAR MINUTE

Magyar Minute is a video series and digital publication founded by a former music producer and performer from Los Angeles who first came to Hungary in 2001, kept being drawn back, and made it home when his half-Hungarian son was born. Through short videos, articles, and personal stories from Ray and the occasional guest, it explores Hungarian culture, history, people, and everyday life: the Hungary the guidebooks leave out, the small things that explain the big ones.

Got a Hungary story?

I started Magyar Minute on my own, but I never wanted it to stay a one-person thing. If you're living your own corner of Hungary, I'd love to make room for your story here: on the site, credited to you, with a link back to your channel. It stays yours everywhere else.

ABOUT

Learning Hungary by living in it.

I'm an American in Hungary. Magyar Minute is what I'm calling the notes I take here. Some of it I write down. Some I post. Some I'm still working out. If something here makes you slow down and look closer too, that's the point.
